Trauma, aka wounds of the heart, doesn’t always come from one event — it can come from repeated moments that quietly break the spirit. “Wounds of the Heart” describes the emotional, psychological, and even physical scars that remain when pain goes unhealed. These wounds affect how we think, feel, and connect to others
Wounds of the heart can affect anyone — those who’ve lost, been silenced, carried too much, or simply forgotten how to care for themselves. Healing begins when we remember we’re not alone.
10 Common Sources of Heart Wounds:
These wounds may look invisible, but they show up — in our posture, relationships, and self-talk. Healing begins when we make space to name them, release them, and learn new ways to restore wholeness.

At Well With My Soul Holistic Health Center, we believe true healing happens when we tend to the whole person — body, mind, and spirit.
In my day-to-day work as a Doctor of Naprapathic Medicine, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Board-Certified Coach, I see how emotional trauma and physical pain intertwine. Muscles hold memories. Fascia holds stories. And when one begins to release, the other follows.
Hosting this trauma healing group is my way of giving back to the community — creating a safe space where healing can be shared, witnessed, and supported together. Because restoration shouldn’t only happen behind clinic doors; it belongs in the community.
How I Got Involved
My journey into trauma-informed healing began long before the degrees and titles. I witnessed, personally and professionally, how unprocessed pain lives in the body — shaping posture, breathing, mood, and movement.
When I began combining Naprapathic therapy with trauma-focused clinical and spiritual care, I saw lives begin to shift in powerful ways. People didn’t just “feel better” — they began to feel free.
That’s what inspired this event. “This trauma healing group” is more than a workshop — it’s a safe circle for reflection, release, and renewal. Well With My Soul Holistic Health Center will provide a supportive online space where body, mind, and spirit come together for restoration and renewal. Co-facilitated by Dr. Soo, DN, we’ll walk this healing path together. For more information, contact us at (773) 978-6145.
